PawChapters ("PawChapters", "we", "us", or "our") provides an app that turns photos of
your pet into AI-generated portraits and lets you order physical prints. This
Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using PawChapters you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Photos you upload. When you create a portrait, the photo you
select is sent to our servers and to our AI image provider to generate the
result. Generated portraits are stored on your device; we do not publish them
or share them with other users.
Email address (optional). If you choose to provide it, we use
it to send tips and order updates. You can skip this.
Shipping & order details. If you order a print, we collect
your name, shipping address, email, and phone number to fulfill and deliver the
order. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor and
are not stored by us.
Device identifier. We generate a random, app-specific device ID
to count free usage, prevent abuse, and associate your print orders. It is not
linked to your real-world identity and is not used to track you across other
companies' apps or websites.
Usage & diagnostics. Basic, non-identifying information about
how the app is used and crash/error data to keep the app working.
2. How We Use Information
To generate AI portraits from the photos you submit.
To process subscriptions and fulfill and ship print orders.
To enforce free-tier limits and prevent fraud and abuse.
To provide support and, if you opted in, send product and order emails.
To maintain, secure, and improve the app.
3. Third-Party Services
We share only the data needed for these providers to perform their function:
Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes and manages auto-renewable subscriptions.
Superwall — displays paywalls and manages subscription entitlements.
Stripe — securely processes payments for physical print orders.
Gelato — prints and ships your physical orders (receives the image and shipping address).
Our AI image provider — generates portraits from the photo you submit.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your
personal information.
4. Data Retention
Generated portraits are stored locally on your device and are removed when you
delete them or uninstall the app. Photos submitted for generation are processed to
create your portrait and are not retained for any other purpose. Order records are
kept as required to fulfill the order and meet legal and tax obligations.
5. Your Choices & Rights
You can delete any portrait inside the app at any time.
You can clear your saved shipping address from the Profile screen.
You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at
support@pawchapters.com.
Camera and photo-library access are optional and controlled in iOS Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
PawChapters is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in
your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method
of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above.
